Dual Citizenship

When applying for citizenship with another country, individuals must often provide lineage documentation in the form of their birth and marriage records and their parents', grandparents', and great-grandparents' birth, death, and marriage records. I provide genealogical research to prove those generational links.

Services Offered

  • Identify your qualifying ancestor by researching and gathering supporting documentation to prove the generational links.

  • Research naturalization records and order certified long-form vital records for each generation (birth, marriage, death).

  • Research and obtain certified copies of your ancestor's civil records in their country of origin.

  • Provide instructions on how to obtain any necessary apostilles (certifications) if required.

  • Assist with the recommendation of professional translators.

My services are solely genealogical. I do not offer advice on eligibility status. All clients should consult and work with the appropriate United States consulate or an immigration attorney to assist with submitting the dual citizenship application. For information about U.S. law and potential issues regarding the application for citizenship with another country, visit the U.S. State Department Services Dual Nationality web page.

Testimonial

"I knew my great-grandparents were born in Italy but did not know where in Italy they originated. Elizabeth researched my Italian family line to my immigrant ancestor. She located their ship manifest, naturalization papers, and birth, marriage, and death records for each generation in the United States and in Italy so I could apply for dual citizenship."
